Passengers are responsible for ensuring that they have the proper travel documents and must check with the respective consulate(s) or a visa agency to determine whether any visas or passports are required.

A visa may be required for certain countries that you will be visiting on your trip and must be obtained in the US prior to travel. US and Canadian citizens traveling to Israel do not require a visa.

Should you cancel your trip up to 5 days before your departure for any reason, our POM program offers you a partial refund.

  • POM can be purchased up to 90 days prior to your scheduled departure date.
  • POM fee is $495 per person (non-refundable).
  • Applies for land services only (airline tickets not included).
  • Applies to group trips only (In Israel).

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that you purchase your own travel insurance. Please discuss land, air, and health insurance options with your insurance provider. Some insurance programs provide more comprehensive coverage when the policy is purchased in close proximity to the initial trip deposit. We, therefore, recommend that you secure insurance within 14 days of your initial deposit payment date.

Health Requirements

Please check with your healthcare provider for up-to-date requirements such as any necessary vaccinations for your travel destination.

Customer Service

All customer service issues must be submitted in writing and received no later than 30 days after your return. Refunds are subject to a credit card processing fee plus any hotel and/or supplier charges incurred. Claims for unused services should be substantiated in writing by local representatives. Processing of claims will take up to six weeks from the date J2 Adventures receives relevant documents. There will be no refunds for unused package trip services or features, including missed transfers due to airline changes and/or missed flights, unused meals, missed sightseeing trips, unused entrance fees, and accommodations. No terms set forth in this brochure may be changed by anyone other than an authorized representative of J2 adventures and must be documented in writing. J² adventures is not obliged to guarantee promises (written or verbal) made by local hotel staff, tour guides, or any other persons not under the direct employment of J2 adventures.

Airline flight cancelations and delays for any reason are not the responsibility of J2 adventures. Submit your claim directly to the airline. J2 adventures does not guarantee airline response.

Airlines

Once issued, tickets are non-refundable. Airline schedules and flights are subject to change without notice. J2 adventures is not responsible for penalties incurred for tickets, international or domestic, not issued by J2 adventures due to schedule and/or flight changes. Airlines reserve the right to demand immediate issuance of tickets whenever they determine that specific flights are heavily booked even when normal ticketing rules do not require tickets to be issued until a later date. In this instance, J2 adventures will require immediate and full payment of the airfare and airport taxes and fees as itemized on the invoice. This situation overrides invoice terms and conditions and payment due dates. If full payment is not received, seats will be canceled by the airline and may not be available to be rebooked on the same flights or at the same airfare. Any replacement air arrangements and airfare will be the sole responsibility of the passenger. Passengers are responsible to reconfirm their flights 72 hours prior to departure for all flights. The package is based on discount fares for group travel.

Note: Federal law forbids the carriage of certain hazardous materials, such as aerosols, fireworks, and flammable liquids, aboard the aircraft. If you do not understand these restrictions, contact your airline or go to http://www.faa.gov/about/initiatives/hazmat_safety/.

Baggage

Confirm baggage limitations with your international carrier before packing. Remember that airlines can change their baggage restrictions at any time. J2 adventures shall not be held responsible for any damage to or loss of luggage/personal items. All damage/loss must be reported at the time of the incident and documented in writing by local authorities for submission to the company.

Room Share

On some of our programs, you may choose to share a room. If you know with whom you will be sharing a room, please inform us at the time of registration. Please understand in the case where we do not have another person seeking to share, you will be responsible for the single supplement.

Airport Taxes & Fees

All airline tickets are subject to a variety of foreign and domestic government taxes which include security charges, airport facility charges, customs and immigration fees, inspection fees, fuel surcharges, and more. The total of these taxes may vary and will be approximately anywhere between $210 and $600 per passenger and are collected by J2 adventures. Taxes and fees are subject to change.

Airport taxes & fees which appear on the invoice reflect the taxes and fees that are applicable when the original reservation is completed. These taxes and fees may vary prior by air carrier. We reserve the right to amend the airport taxes & fees to reflect any changes prior to ticketing.

Hotel Accommodations

The trip price includes hotel accommodations.

Our standard is to provide the best available hotels while considering value. Although the level of accommodations may differ slightly from hotel to hotel, we are committed to your comfort.

We reserve the right to make substitutions with hotels of equal standard. No refunds will be issued for differences between hotel prices.

The standard hotel room in some destinations is generally smaller than in the US, comfortably accommodating two people in either one queen-size bed or two single beds. Some hotels offer triple rooms consisting of standard twin beds plus a sofa/folding bed or cot for the third person.

Special requests such as room selections, bed types, and smoking preferences are subject to availability and are strictly at the discretion of the hotel’s management on a run-of-house basis.

All hotel rates are non-negotiable and are based on the agreements made between J2 adventures and its suppliers.

Hotel check-in time is generally not before 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is prior to noon. If you are taking a late-night flight, make sure to organize adequate arrangements for accommodation until you are ready to leave for the airport. If a day room is included in the itinerary, check-out time will usually be at 6:00 p.m.

Children

The minimum age for children on escorted trips is 6. Discounts for children sharing a room as a third apply to children under 12.

Meals

All meals are as specified in each itinerary. Meals are based on the hotel’s or restaurant’s buffet or set menu. In general, beverages are not included, unless specifically stated.

Transfers

If your package includes arrival and departure transfers, this will be detailed in your travel documents which will be e-mailed to you up to one week prior to your trip. If you deviate from the arrival and/or departure dates, and time as specified in your travel documents, you will need to arrange your own transfers. Alternatively, you may request a transfer service up to 3 working days prior to your arrival and the cost of paid transfer service will be added to your invoice. When requesting a transfer service, please provide us with your flight information. Your arrival transfer is guaranteed for up to one hour from your scheduled arrival time in order to compensate for minor delays. J2 adventures or the transfer company will not be responsible for delays, for any reason, beyond one hour from your originally scheduled arrival time. In case of a delay, it will be your responsibility to contact J2 adventures directly and/or to make other transfer arrangements such as a taxi. Transfer costs are not refundable and any additional expenses will be your responsibility.

Transportation & Program

Transportation throughout the trip will be as specified in the proposal. The size of the vehicle will be dictated by the number of participants and will be determined by J2 adventures. Our trips have been designed to accommodate individuals as well as groups. Please refer to each trip package for a complete listing of trip services included. The number of participants may vary during the trip, as J2 adventures accommodates travelers arriving on different airlines and on different days of the week. Times listed in itineraries are approximate and meant only as guidelines. Itineraries listed online or in printed materials are approximate and meant only as guidelines. J2 adventures reserves the right to make any itinerary changes it deems as necessary. In such cases where programs are changed, a site removed will be substituted by an alternative visit, or we may choose to remove a site to allow for more time at other listed locations. In such an event J2 adventures will not offer a monetary refund or compensation of any kind to trip participants. It is your responsibility to arrive on time for all scheduled flights and package components. Arriving late may be considered a “no-show”, in which case you will not be eligible for a refund for the unused service(s). We cannot guarantee the number of passengers who will be on any given trip. You may find that you are traveling with a sizeable group or only with your own companions. Services, however, will remain constant no matter the number of trip participants.

Public Holidays

On dates including, but not limited to religious holidays and national celebrations, some monuments and sites may be closed. On these occasions, touring itineraries may be amended to reflect these closures.

Itinerary & Hotel Amendments

Occasionally, during holidays and certain periods, due to unforeseen circumstances the local operator and/or Hotel(s) may have to make last-minute changes, sometimes after arrival, in the sequence of the tour and/or hotels. We, therefore, reserve the right to adjust the sequence and/or substitute any hotels with others of a similar category. In such cases, there will be no cost adjustment.

Non-Operation of Escorted Trips

Escorted trip packages are based upon a minimum number of participants. Cancelation of any trip for lack of participation will be advised at least 30 days prior to the Trip’s departure, and all money will be refunded. J2 adventures will not be held responsible for any costs relating to the issuance and/or cancelation of airline tickets or visa fees. Voluntary cancelations due to political instability, acts of terrorism, government intervention, or US State Department warning will be subject to the above fees, provided the program is deemed safe by J2 adventures able to continue. Should J2 adventures elect to cancel a departure for any of these reasons, every effort will be made to obtain refunds from suppliers, but, no guarantees can be provided on their behalf.

Travelers with Physical Limitations

J2 adventures will make all reasonable accommodations to meet the needs of our trip participants with physical limitations. Participants requiring any form of assistance or special accommodation are required to notify J2 Adventures in writing at the time of reservation and J2 adventures will use its good efforts to accommodate the trip participant’s needs. Due to space limitations, special advance arrangements may need to be made to accommodate wheelchairs and walkers aboard motor coaches and additional costs may be involved. J2 adventures will notify the participant of any additional costs in advance of the trip.

To enjoy this active journey, you should be in good health and able to walk reasonable distances, often over unpaved and uneven surfaces. Some of the most memorable sightseeing can only be accomplished on foot. The amount of walking you do, however, is at your discretion. We recommend that you pack sturdy, comfortable walking shoes that have already been broken in to appreciate fully what your trip has to offer.

Active components such as hiking, bicycling, and walking longer distances may be included, and hills and/or uneven terrain may be encountered on several days. Guests should be able to walk two-to-three miles and stand for long periods of time with no difficulty. Your journey is moderately paced and may include some early morning hotel departures and extended motorcoach travel.

J2 adventures reserves the right to remove any person from a trip who has not provided the required notification and has not received written confirmation from J2 adventures. All related expenses, including those to return home, will be borne by the passenger.

PLEASE NOTE: We regret that in some cases the J2 adventures itinerary cannot accommodate wheelchairs or motorized scooters. Likewise, we regret that we’re unable to provide individual assistance to guests with walking difficulties or other personal needs. The responsibility of the J2 adventures Educator/Guide who accompanies your trip is to ensure that the larger group enjoys a relaxing and informative journey, and they cannot be relied upon to provide ongoing individual assistance to any one guest. Guests requiring such individualized assistance must be accompanied by an able-bodied companion who can provide it.

Group Harmony

To ensure the desired group synergy, J2 adventures reserves the right to accept, reject, or expel any individual who is deemed disruptive or incompatible with the interests of the group. All expenses to do so will be borne by the passenger.
